I have a 2.5 n/a diesel, albeit in a much older vehicle, but it is quite capable of seventy plus given a bit of time to wind up. There are a lot of different transfer box ratios for the 90 its written on a green and white sticker on the transfer box - might be worth checking you've got the right one. Also check (god forbid) that no-ones changed the diffs. Failing that, back to the engine and get someone else to check it over.2.5 are fusy about their timing, so if it starts well it probably isn't that.
