My series IIa 2.25 diesel uses a 30A fuse, according to my manual I should be able to run the plugs for 10 seconds before turning the engine over - however any longer than 7-8 seconds and the fuse blows. I was thinking of using a 40-45A fuse maybe, but the weather hasn't got cold enough yet for this to become necessary.
