BLACK SMOKE 2.25 DIESEL HELP ME

I have recently aquired an 1982 series III swb diesel.
I had a problem with a smokey engine ,so i had the timing chain replaced , ther was a slight improvement
but still the smoke. I put new valve stem seals in and reground the valves but i still have black smoke when i rev the engine and when i accellerate.The valve clearence is allso correct. Can anyone please help me.
