Devils Pit - Barton Le Clay (Nr Luton)
Devils Pit is an exciting venue for all levels of off road driving.
The site always has catering and toilets with ample parking area for spectators and rest.
Each vehicle is inspected for safty on arrival because the site has different grades of course, Green, Red and Black.
Green - suitable for all vehicles some damage is always possible
Red - These areas are for the more experienced drivers and damage is well possible
Black - what every one aspires to Very Dangerous Roll Cage, Harnesses and Helmets as a must for these areas
The site is set just off the A6 near Luton. Once in the site each section is clearly marked out to warn you before you attempt a slope or drop what to expect but as always if in doubt get out and look before you drive. There are always plenty of other vehicles for recovery and stewards look out for people in the wrong place. This is a well respected site please enjoy. For more details contact the group.
Avon Dasset - Fun Days
Avon Dasset is a working quarry which normally opens on the last sunday of every month. There are no grades to this site however there are serious parts as well as the gentle slope for the more novice person.
This site has catering and toilets. The venue does not really have any set routes (free for all) but you can see where people have been before. There is plenty of water and mud all the time and as it is a rock quarry there is a solid surface under the mud. This is well worth a visit to make up your own mind but we will go back again.
Be warned just because tyre tracks go up a face it does not mean there is any thing the other side, it is a working quarry!
